Select a template

Every CVForge order is rendered in the design you pick here. The previews are enlarged on click because a thumbnail cannot show a bullet glyph or a section rule — and that is exactly what you are choosing.

A template is not a skin. It is the set of decisions the renderer actually makes: which colour carries emphasis, whether your name sits inside a colour band or on the page, how each section heading marks its boundary, what a bullet looks like, and how much air the layout breathes with. Pick one and that is what your PDF will be.

What changes between templates

  • Palette — six colour families: Ink & Coral, Forest, Ocean, Plum, Slate and Sand, each with its own ink, accent, muted and rule tones.
  • Header — the name, headline and contact line either sit left-aligned above an accent rule, or inside a filled colour band.
  • Section headings — marked by a hairline rule, an accent underline, a short accent bar, or left unruled.
  • Bullets — dashes, round dots or chevrons.
  • Spacing — standard or roomy.

What never changes

Every template keeps the structure an applicant tracking system needs to read your CV: one column, one reading order, real selectable text, no images, no tables, no text boxes, and no meaning carried by colour alone. Colour and rules sit on top of that structure, never in place of it. A design that looks good but parses badly is not a design we ship.

How to choose

  1. Open any preview to see the design full size, with its layout and palette details spelled out.
  2. Pick the design that suits the role: conservative for banking, government and legal; colour-forward for marketing and design; tight and plain for engineering and operations.
  3. Choose 'Use this template'. It is remembered for your next order and shown on the review step, where you can still change it before you pay.
Will an unusual template break an ATS scan?
No. The parser sees the same document in every template — the same sections in the same order, as real text. Templates change colour, rules and spacing only.
Can I change the template after my CV is generated?
Not on the same order. The template is applied when the PDF is rendered, and the delivered file is final. Start a new order with the design you prefer.
Are the previews the real layout?
Yes. The gallery and the PDF renderer read the same template definition, so the preview cannot promise a design the renderer does not produce.

Improve the CV you already have

Upload a PDF or DOCX and CVForge returns a sharper, ATS-safe, page-limited PDF. Your facts are preserved; gaps are reported rather than invented.
