Identity and ownership

What it is

CVForge is a document improvement tool. You give it a CV you already have, and it gives you back a better version of the same document. It parses the file, splits it into sections, analyses each section against concrete criteria, generates a structured rewrite, verifies that the rewrite introduced no unsupported claims, and renders the result as an ATS-safe PDF.

The analysis is not a single instruction to 'improve this CV'. It is a pipeline: extraction, section detection, quality analysis, ATS analysis, optional job-description matching, improvement generation, factual verification, and reconstruction. Each stage produces structured data that the next stage consumes, which is what makes the factual check possible at all.

What it is not

• It is not a CV writing service. It cannot write a CV for a role you have never held.
• It is not a job board and it does not submit applications on your behalf.
• It does not guarantee interviews, and no tool that rewrites wording can.
• It does not know the company, the hiring manager or the culture. It works from your document and, optionally, the job description.

How factual integrity is handled

The most serious failure mode for an automated CV tool is inventing something. A fabricated employer, a metric that was never measured, or a qualification you do not hold will not be caught by the person skimming your CV, and it will surface in the interview if it is.

CVForge therefore separates the facts extracted from your document from the wording generated around them. The generation step is instructed to work only from extracted facts, and where a piece of evidence is absent the gap is reported rather than filled. A CV that says 'engagement figures are not recorded for this period' is more useful than one that says 'increased engagement by 37%', because the first can be defended.

Limitations you should know about

• Automated improvement optimises wording and structure. It cannot tell you that the CV targets the wrong kind of role.
• Page limits are firm. A CV that genuinely needs more room than the selected plan allows is reported, not silently trimmed to fit.
• Output is PDF only.
• Files are deleted 12 hours after the order is created and cannot be recovered afterwards. There is no account and no stored copy.
• An ATS-friendly format gets your CV read. It does not make it competitive.
• No automated review replaces a person who understands the organisation you are applying to.

How your document is handled

CVs contain some of the most sensitive personal information a person holds. Uploaded files are stored in a private bucket that is never publicly readable, are accessible only through short-lived signed URLs, and are deleted 12 hours after the order is created regardless of whether it was paid for. No account is created and no document is retained after that window.
