What CVForge actually does
You upload a PDF or DOCX. The document is parsed into its sections — contact details, summary, experience, education, skills, projects and certifications — and each section is assessed against a set of concrete criteria rather than a general impression.
The analysis looks for weak or vague phrasing, responsibilities described without outcomes, missing evidence of scale, unnecessary content, inconsistent terminology, summary problems, skills presented as an undifferentiated list, and formatting choices that break automated parsing.
How the enhancement works

- The document is extracted and split into its sections.
- Each section is analysed for clarity, impact, structure and ATS risk.
- A structured rewrite is generated that keeps every fact from your original.
- The result is reconstructed into a page-limited PDF.

What it will not do
This is the most important limitation, and it is enforced in the generation step rather than left to a disclaimer. CVForge is instructed to preserve factual integrity: it does not add employers, companies, degrees, certifications, job titles, dates, technologies, awards or statistics that were not in your document.

ATS compatibility
Applicant tracking systems parse a CV into a flat record before a person ever sees it. Multi-column layouts, text in headers and footers, tables used for layout, icons, and skill ratings can cause entire sections to be dropped. CVForge renders to a single-column, text-based PDF with a conventional heading hierarchy so that the content survives parsing.
What you get back
A PDF, in one of three sizes: a one-page Essentials version, up to two pages on Professional, or up to three pages on Executive. The page limit is enforced by the renderer rather than left to chance — the document is checked after rendering and will not exceed the size you bought.
Honest limitations
- It improves a CV you supply. It cannot reconstruct one for a role you have never held.
- Output is PDF only. DOCX export is not currently offered.
- No account is created. Your files are deleted 12 hours after the order is created and cannot be recovered after that.
- Page limits are firm. A CV that genuinely needs more room than the plan allows is reported rather than silently cut.
- Automated review is not a substitute for a person who knows the role and the organisation.
